Youngstown Fire Department Official Patches

Youngstown Fire Department Patch – 1960-1961.

Youngstown Fire Department Patch – 1970’s or very early 1980’s.

Current Youngstown Fire Department Patch – 1991.

Youngstown Fire Department Patch – 1991. Gray Variant.

The first Youngstown Fire Department patch was designed in the early 1960s. In the late 1970’s or early 1980’s the Youngstown Fire Department was redesigned. The current Youngstown Fire Department patch was designed in 1991. A gray version of the current patch was also produced in small quantities.

Youngstown Fire Department Prototype Patch Designs

There are at least two known prototype designs of the 1991 YFD patch.

Youngstown Fire Department Specialized Patches

Youngstown Fire Department Technical Rescue Operations Team Patch – January 2004.

Youngstown Fire Department Haz-Mat Patch – 1980’s or early 1990’s.

Metro Fire Investigation Unit (Arson) Patch - 1990's.

Youngstown Ohio 911 – 2015.

Several specialized patches have been produced for the Fire Department. They include a Hazardous Materials patch, a Technical Rescue Operations Team patch, Metro Fire Investigation Unit (Arson) and a Youngstown 911 Communications patch.

Youngstownfire.com Patch – Released September 20, 2003. The patch lists all of the active companies in 2003 (Engines 2,3,6,7,9,12,15, Ladders 22,24, Squad 33 and Battalions 1 and 2). The ‘We’ve got your fire covered’ slogan was thought up by Bill Broadhead, a friend of the webmasters.

Youngstownfire.com Web Site Patch – 2013.

The youngstownfire.com Website, established in 1998, had two patches over the years. These were used as advertisements for the web site.
