2012/07/11 – 23 W Federal – 2nd Alarm High Rise Fire

Metro Monthly – 07/12/2012 – Youngstown firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at 8:30 pm. on Wednesday, July 11 at the Huntington National Bank Building in downtown Youngstown. The fire, which started in the main banking room on the first floor, also brought smoke into the upper floors of the 13-story structure.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, three people had already evacuated the building, but a fourth had to be rescued from the 11th floor. The woman, identified as a custodial worker, was taken to an area hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
